Reducing Frequent Night Waking

Is your child waking multiple times overnight? You must be exhausted, and frustrated!

Whilst it’s often developmentally appropriate for babies and toddlers to wake sometimes, very frequent night waking is unsustainable.

I’ll help you understand why your child might be waking so frequently and we will use sleep biology and responsive behavioural strategies to reduce or even eliminate night wakes. 

Supporting Independent Sleep

Does your child need a lot of support to be able to go to sleep? Would you describe them as ‘not being able to self-soothe’?

Perhaps you need to feed them every time and this is beginning to feel too much, or rocking your long and heavy toddler is becoming physically impossible. 

We can work on reducing the need for these intense methods helping your child start to feeling comfortable and happy falling asleep more independently.

Night Weaning

Is your child feeding a lot through the night? Maybe you find that they need to be latched on all night to be able to stay asleep. 

We can discuss your feeding goals and work on a plan to make it feel more sustainable. 

It might be reducing feeds or night weaning, both are possible whilst still maintaining your breastfeeding journey.
