Review the Breastfeeding Process

Feed on early hunger cues instead of following timed schedules. By doing this you will hopefully avoid baby getting really hungry and gulping the feed.

Keep baby upright during feeds where possible.

Tongue-tie can affect how well babies feed, this can show in them losing suction, dribbling of milk, fussing during feeds, faltering growth, and sluggish digestion. If you have any concerns that your child could have tongue-tie please see your GP.

Improve the [position of the baby during breastfeeds and look to improve the latch. Get some support from your local IBCLC if you need some support with this, they have 1000s of hours of experience in helping breastfeeding Mums.

If you have a rapid let down reflex, wind the baby after a couple of minutes.
